Will Shortz has served as the crossword editor for The New York Times since 1993, and he's authored and edited more than 200 books, including The Puzzlemaster Presents (Vols. 1 and 2), Will Shortz's Tournament Crosswords (Vols. 1 and 2), Will Shortz's Best Brain Busters, and numerous best-selling volumes of sudoku puzzles. Holder of the world's only college degree in Enigmatology, the study of puzzles, Shortz graduated with an A.B. in 1974 from Indiana University and wrote his thesis on "The History of American Word Puzzles Before 1860." His interests include table tennis, world travel, and collecting puzzle books and ephemera.
